Domestic Knowledge: Engaging History Students Through a Large-Scale Digital Project
Date: Wednesday, March 27th Time: 9:00am
In this presentation, we’ll share our experiences with the Domestic Knowledge project, an NEH-funded endeavor to engage undergraduate history students in the work of transcribing and re-creating 18th-Century manuscript recipes and publishing their research for a public audience. Through this project, students gained first-hand experience with FromThePage, a wiki-style digital transcription platform, and PubPub, a platform for community digital publishing.
